![]() ![]() She has been a member of the Corpus Christi Fire Department since July of 1986 and was promoted to Captain in January of 1997 and laterally transferred to the Training Division in 2011. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University and two Master’s Degree in Criminology and Sociology from Texas A & M University-Kingsville. Captain Williams holds an Associate Degree from Del Mar College in Fire Science. Captain Williams also serves as one of the departments certified Police Officers, Arson Investigators, and Incident Safety Officers. She holds a Master certification as a Firefighter, Arson and Fire Investigator, Inspector, Airport Firefighter, and Instructor III with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and is a Licensed Paramedic. He is married and has two children.Ĭaptain Angela Williams currently serves as the Fire Academy and Training Coordinator. Captain Guerra earned his bachelor’s degree in Emergency Services Administration from Texas A&M University in San Antonio. ![]() Captain Guerra holds certifications as an Advanced Firefighter, Driver/Operator, Fire Officer I and Instructor II with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as well as Paramedic with the Texas Department of State Health Services. He supervises Cadets and liaises with Del Mar College throughout Fire Academy Training. He is currently assigned to the Corpus Christi Fire Department Training Division and serves as Fire Academy Supervisor and an Instructor. Assistant Fire Chief Matthijetz and his staff of 3 Captains and 2 Firefighter II EMS personnel are responsible for all aspects of Training, Safety, Facility Management, and Capital Improvement/Bond Projects.Ĭaptain Adam Guerra joined the ranks of the Corpus Christi Fire Department in 2003. He has been assigned to various disciplines throughout his career including Fire Suppression, EMS Supervisor, Training Division, and Haz Mat and Rescue as Captain and currently is the Assistant Chief over the Training Division. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, a bachelor degree in Emergency Management from West Texas A&M University and an associate degree in Fire Science from Del Mar College. ![]() He holds a Master certification as a Firefighter, Instructor III, Fire Officer IV, Inspector I and Plans Examiner I with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and is a Texas Licensed Paramedic. Chief Matthijetz obtained his Chief Fire Officer and Chief Training Officer designations from the Center of Public Safety Excellence. He is currently an Assistant Chief of the Special Services Division. He has promoted through the ranks from Firefighter to Firefighter II-EMS, Firefighter II - Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief. Assistant Fire Chief Douglas Matthijetz has been a member of the Corpus Christi Fire Department since 1990. ![]()
